Championships, Champs Shirts, and End of Season Party

Hey everyone!I picked up our team shirts this am so they will be ready for you to pick up on Monday! If you ordered shirts but have not paid yet, please make sure you do this prior to picking them up! Attached is a google form for anyone interested in ordering a championship shirt. As of now, the design will be close to what is in the form but there may be a little editing. I wanted to share out the initial design to see if anyone would be interested. You would pay for these the day of championships. https://forms.gle/3neiPtQedhfQoS5Z7 In terms of championships, I am doing a virtual meeting Monday night during practice about champs, any help needed, and whatever expectations there will be. For now, I have entered the meet into Swimtopia and most likely the volunteers needed for the morning and afternoon sessions. 10 and unders will be in the morning and the 11 and ups will be in the late morning/noon time. I will get more details Monday. Please go into Swimtopia and mark if your swimmers will be or will not be attending. I need this done by Tuesday because I have to submit entries by Wednesday. On Sunday July 26th, the day after champs, we will have our end of season pool party/awards celebration. We will have a pot luck dinner so please bring an item for all to enjoy. We will be ordering pizza and will have concessions open for drinks and any snacks. We will also be providing the cake. The party will be 7:00pm-9:00pm that night. If you cannot attend, please let me know and I will put any awards and ribbons aside for you to pick up later. Please let me know if you have any questions!!

Swimming is a fun and exciting competitive lifetime sport that is challenging and fulfilling for everyone. The Edgebrook (EDG) Eels Swim Team has been around since 1997 and has been the league champion for Southern Metro Swim League six times! Coach Cori has been our head coach for over 25 years and she also coaches High School swimming. We look forward to a fun and exciting swim season!

The swim team is not designed to replace swim lessons. Swimmers ages 7 to 18 should be able to swim unassisted before joining the team. Swimmers ages 10 and under should be comfortable in the water and able to swim 25 yards with very little assistance. Swimmers 11-18 have to swim a minimum of 50 yards continuously.  New swimmers must be able to do a swim assessment prior to the start of the season to determine the appropriate ability group practice.

The Eels swim as part of the Southern Metro Swim League (SMSL). If you are interested in joining Edgebrook Pool for the summer, please visit our website at www.edgebrookpool.com
